Incase your wondering about the domain name, i saw it on schitts creek when they thought moira died. i was gonna try and recreate the website from the episode, but eh, cant be bothered.

in torn with what to do about the waltzer, so if i throw the current stuff (its being replaced like i said earlier) away, i feel bad, cause i think i should keep it for reasons im not sure of yet. But also, it does work... so... it seems a little wasteful to throw it away, but then again, i dont have space to keep it around really, it would just sit in a box somewhere.

I think i just convinced myself to chuck it 😂

The good thing about printing things vertically, is when you have to remove them, if the footprint is small u can just yank them off (kinky), but if u print them flat, you have to wait for them to cool a little otherwise risk warping them. The only problem with vertical prints is that they take fucking ages😭

I hate time and math, im printing some of the walkways and they are 7% finished in 20 minutes, so my brain instantly thinks "well that wont be THAT long to finish" despite the slicer saying it will take 5 hours, i dunno why but 7% in 20 minutes feels way quicker than 100% in 5 hours. Maybe im just an idiot 😭

Over the last year and a bit, ive been designing and 3d printing a 'Waltzer' funfair ride, which are pretty common in the UK and i think Germany.

Im just printing the walkways now, i already did it the other day but i was lazy and didnt want to redesign the gates that the walkway sit on, so i ended up just using the existing gates, problem is, i didn't realise how unstable the walkways would be on them, so ive now redesigned the gates and walkway to better fit together, its just gonna take me another 12 hours to print all the walkways :((

I printed 2 test pieces out and they seem really stable, even just holding them together, so hopefully this will be the last time i print them.

The whole ride is being designed in CAD, but the tolerances for 3d printing can be pretty wild in my experience, so it might look good in cad, but after being printed, not so much lol.

I have a real blog (i wont be posting the link), but i can never find the motivation to sit and actually write a post, which is why i setup this site. Now i can post all the random crap that comes into my mind.

I wonder what the most ironic song is. I dont mean like Born in the U.S.A being a song about how the us treats its vets, but being used as a "yay usa" type song. I mean songs where they have released a song about.. i dunno, domestic abuse, but then gone on to be accused / convicted of domestic abuse. hmm

You know when some kids die in tragic circumstances and the parents / family always seem to indicate the kid was gonna go on to do great things, like cure cancer or some shit. I wonder if any of those kids would have actually done that, its pretty unlikely I reckon, but possible.

why do so many tv shows nowadays have to be backed by a sob story and piano music?
I was just watching deal or no deal and they had a guy on, who, of course has a sob story, no idea what it was cause i zoned out from that crap, but he had very little in the way of hands, so probably something related to that. Now im not saying what someone has been though should be ignored, but when your only picking people BECAUSE of that, yeah its tacky as fuck.
I turned it off after they kept reminding him that he made a deal to early and was basically torturing him for the rest of the show "IF YOU HELD ON ONE MORE TIME YOU COULD HAVE HAD THIS MUCH".

fuck off with that shit.

I completly forgot i wanna post random pictures too, so this is a test for that.

Its quite a nice little system tho, i have a python based gui that i can write a post in, and add it to a json file, then i can sync it to github, cloudflare pages then gets the latest version from github and builds the site, best of all, its practically free, especially since i already had the domain unused for a while

Much like my other "projects" i make, this will probably be abandoned in a few days lmao

This probably wont actually be notes, more like... random thoughts and shit.
